Denver Limo Doing our part to end breast cancer

Whle times are certainly tough for us all, Zenith Limousines continues to find innovative means to do our part for the environment. And now, beginning March of 2009, we discovered that our Denver limousine Green Campaign has offered us another opportunity to do our part!. During the course of the miles travelled by each of our Compressed Natural Gas vehicles, our Denver limousine drivers have always ensured that our passengers have available, bottled water for their trip(s) in and around Denver. Some days, our Denver limo operation will return with as few as 10 empty bottles and, on others, we gater up to 30 empties from just one of our Denver limousines. Rather than discard these bottles into trash recepticles, which end up in landfills, we retain the empties in our recycle bins for appropriate disposal to a recycle facility. This week, we finally made the move to clear out the bottles collected from our 2008 operations. After all was said and done, we had recycled a total of $962.41 in empty water bottles. To date, the intended purpose of disposing of these bottles in this fashion has been to do our part for the environment. However, this new found source of revenue has now presented another opportunity for Zenith to continue doing our part. This year, the entire $962.41 from our 2008 Denver limousine Green Campaign has been donated to the cause to cure breast cancer. Through this and other donations of time and resources, Zenith hopes to continue doing our part to benefit breast cancer research. And, while Zenith Limousines will continue to collect and donate all proceeds from recyclable materials, in 2009, we will go one step further. This year, Zenith will match each dollar that is donated from our Denver limousine recycling program and continue to support breast cancer research.Continuing to do our part...

Giving to the fight for the cure

During the course of the miles travelled by each of our Compressed Natural Gas vehicles, our Denver limousine drivers have always ensured that our passengers have available, bottled water for their trip(s) in and around Denver. Doing our part for the environment

This past summer’s oil-price shock has awakened our desire to find a more cost-effective way to power vehicles. And, as we had already slated our Denver limousine operations for the alternative energy conversion, in November 2008, Zenith Limousines converted our entire Denver Limousine fleet to clean burning compressed natural gas or CNG. Yes, good old natural gas – the same stuff that heats your home also works in cars!

Zenith Limousines has learned that over 95 percent of the natural gas used in the United States comes from domestic or other North American sources, so prices aren’t subject to the enormous price hikes caused by political instability. Natural gas is an abundant resource. In rough terms, there are estimated to be about forty years known of crude oil reserves worldwide versus eighty years of natural gas reserves.

Moreover, switching our Denver limousines to natural gas helps the environment. Compared to burning gasoline or diesel, using natural gas will exponentially reduce the amount of emissions our Denver limousine fleet produces in a days work, including; nitrogen oxide, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide and particulate matter.

Buying green is a great step toward reducing the environmental impacts of automobile use. In March of 2009, Zenith Limousines will continue our pursuit of energy efficiency with the introduction of the 2009 Mercedes R320 BlueTec vehicle to our Denver limousine fleet. With over 20 to 30 percent better fuel economy than gasoline powered vehicles, our Denver limousine fleet will gain vastly improved driving distances with over 23 mpg while benefitting from the world’s cleanest diesel engine!
